…Linda Lindroth build(s) elegant, foreboding images that are poetic and metaphoric in their use of photographic space. Part photogram, part photograph to which the artist sometimes adds other media, these large scale prints are created in the darkroom directly on photographic paper. Lindroth’s “Ronchamp Redux” constructs a dark matrix reminiscent of Kurt Schwitter’s “Merzbau” (1924-1935) fractured by a convolution of stairs and passages moving away from the viewer.
